Boredom Buster #2

JoAnn’s Fabric and Craft store has “Creativity for Kids” sets on sale for $3.99. There was lots of choices, but the kids chose the “Rock-a-Doodle” set:

The set comes with rocks, paint, glue, feathers, and felt; kids use their imaginations to make their creation. (Or, copy something off the box.  Whichever the case may be.)
Lauryn: “girl with skirt and bow” (She used some fabric from my scrap pile.)
Ryan:  “frog with faux hawk”
Dylan:  “crazy hair polka dot bird”

Kids loved it and give it a “9 out of 10” on the fun scale.  (Uh…it’s worth mentioning they’re really easy to impress.)

My review: the glue that comes with the kit is worthless.  I had to get out my hot glue gun to make the feathers and felt stick.  Otherwise – fun!  And sharing the paint and supplies is a good lesson in sibling cooperation. And patience.  (for both you and kids)

Aren’t their critters cute? I’m kinda partial to Dylan’s bird.
