Lauryn and I had both started to dread the brushing of her hair. The tangles had become unmanageable, even following a bath with massive amounts of adult shampoo and conditioner. (The tear-free kid stuff definitely wasn’t cutting it.)
But recently we found a bit of salvation from the tangles. Here’s the BEST thing I’ve found for reducing the tears at hair brushing time:
A bottle of Infusium, poured into a spray bottle. Find it at Wal-Mart for around $5 bucks. It’s worked great for us! It can be used on wet or dry hair, and it doesn’t leave her hair looking greasy or flat. And it’s helping establish a new, slightly more pleasant tone at hair-brushing time. Miraculous.
(We used to have luck with the Suave Detangler spray, but since her hair has gotten thicker it wasn’t cutting it anymore.)
This PSA brought to you in hopes of helping other mothers of preschool daughters, who are struggling with similar hair-brushing drama.
NOTE: This spray also tames the unruly bedhead of elementary school boys. They may protest at the slightly flowery scent. Just shrug and insist you don’t know what they’re talking about.
Capable of much drama? Yes.
